Brainhack Rome 2025: between Neuroscience and Complex Systems

Centro Ricerche Enrico Fermi (CREF) to Host Brainhack Rome 2025:connecting the dots between structure and function

Rome, Italy –January, 15 – The Centro Ricerche Enrico Fermi (CREF) is excited to announce its hosting of Brainhack Rome 2025, a non-competitive hackathon focused on bridging the data science and neuroscience research communities to advance the progress of brain science research

Brainhack Rome 2025 will take place from April 8th to 11th and will bring together researchers, students, and enthusiasts from various backgrounds to collaborate on projects that explore the intersection of complex systems and neuroscience. This unique event fosters open science practices and aims to develop innovative tools, simulations, and resources that can advance our understanding of the brain.

“CREF’s commitment to both complex systems and neuroscience research makes us the ideal host for Brainhack Rome 2025,” said Matteo Mancini, who is a researcher at CREF and one of the organizers:   “This hackathon provides a valuable platform for researchers to explore the exciting potential that lies at the crossroads of these disciplines and have a positive impact on society, for example by improving the diagnosis and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.

Brainhack Rome 2025 Highlights:

  • Focus on interdisciplinary projects: Projects are encouraged to explore the intersection of complex systems and neuroscience, including topics like brain connectivity, artificial intelligence applications in neuroscience, and clinical MRI analysis.
  • Open to all experience levels: Whether you have a project idea or are eager to join a team, Brainhack Rome 2025 welcomes participants of all experience levels, from PhD students and postdocs to enthusiastic beginners.
  • Collaborative environment: The hackathon fosters collaboration, networking, and the exchange of knowledge among participants.

Brainhack Rome 2025 Schedule:
