On May 27, the CREF will host a workshop to explore how the new facilities at CREF can offer a unique opportunity to establish a laboratory dedicated to the PAMQ project’s research activities. The workshop will bring together the technological expertise and technical capabilities developed within PAMQ at CREF and the VIP experiment at LNF (INFN), with the goal of creating a laboratory for the development and testing of detectors for upcoming data campaigns at LNGS (INFN) and other experiments in quantum foundation studies. These activities will support experimental investigations of foundational questions in quantum mechanics and quantum gravity.

The workshop will provide a forum for discussing innovative theoretical developments pursued by the group led by Prof. Giacomini at the Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata, focusing on the interface between quantum theory and gravity. Particular attention will be devoted to the connections between these theoretical advances and the phenomenological investigations pioneered by the PAMQ project and the VIP collaboration, with the aim of identifying and exploring new experimental directions.
