CREF promotes original and high-impact lines of research, based on physical methods, but with a strong interdisciplinary character and in relation to the main problems of the modern knowledge society.
The CREF was born with a dual soul: a research centre and a historical museum. Its aim is to preserve and disseminate the memory of Enrico Fermi and to promote the dissemination and communication of scientific culture.
Higher education and projects for young researchers
The annual Conference on Complex Systems (CCS) is the flagship meeting for the complex systems research community within the Complex Systems Society.
This year, CCS will be held in Exeter (UK) from 2 to 6 September, jointly organised by Northeastern University London and the University of Exeter.
Researchers from the Fitness and Economic Complexity Group at Centro Ricerche Enrico Fermi have organised a satellite meeting to bring together researchers working on complex systems in economics and finance. The meeting will discuss the state of the art in the field, share knowledge across disciplines, and create opportunities for new and fruitful collaborations.
Tiziana di Matteo, Andrea Gabrielli, and Fabrizio Coccetti are invited speakers at the Data & Complexity Science in Climate and Finance (DCSCF) satellite. This workshop aims to bring together researchers studying finance, climate, and the intersection of the two through the lens of complexity and data science.
