Unified Guarantee Committees (CUGs) are joint committees established within Public Administrations. They propose, consult on, and verify equal opportunities and organisational well-being matters. This ultimately aims to optimise the productivity of public work, fostering efficiency and effectiveness in performance, encouraging job satisfaction, and ensuring a work environment that actively combats all forms of discrimination against workers.

Specifically, the CUG’s objectives are to:

• Combat disparities in access to work, career progression, and job performance by promoting a culture of difference that values diversity and overcomes related stereotypes.
• Encourage the diversification of professional choices for women, facilitating their access to employment and training.
• Overcome gender- and/or disability-based work distribution that negatively impacts women.
• Promote the inclusion of women in fields where they are underrepresented and in positions of responsibility.
• Help employees overcome personal and family difficulties.
• Foster a better balance between family and professional responsibilities, and promote a more equitable distribution between genders.
• Support and incentivise female researchers to participate in nationally and internationally funded research projects.

The CUG performs monitoring, proposing, consultative, and verification functions within the organisation regarding the fight against discriminatory practices and mobbing in the workplace, according to Directive of March 4, 2011, and Directive No. 2 of 2019 from the Minister for Public Administration.

The CREF’s Unified Guarantee Committee was established by Administrative Director’s Decree No. 193/2024 (available HERE), and is composed of the following full members:
