The Enrico Fermi Research Centre welcomed a delegation from the Istituto Lombardo Academy of Sciences and Letters in Milan, comprising its President, Stefano Maiorana; its Chancellor and Director, Rita Pezzola; and Margherita Longoni, a member of the Institute’s technical and laboratory staff.
The guests were welcomed by CREF President Angela Bracco and Scientific Director Salvatore De Pasquale, who accompanied them on a tour of the historic building on Via Panisperna and introduced them to the research activities carried out at the Centre.
Giulia Festa, a CREF researcher and Head of the Laboratory of Physics Applied to Cultural Heritage, also took part in the meeting.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity for discussion and exchange, during which the two institutions explored potential future collaborations, with particular emphasis on the applications of scientific research to the study, understanding and enhancement of cultural heritage.
