Andrea Tacchella

I am a Senior researcher at CREF, where I work on Economic Fitness&Complexity (EFC), machine learning and innovation.

I have been a Research Fellow at the Institute of Complex Systems of the CNR, where I contributed to the birth and development of the EFC framework, laying its empirical and theoretical foundations. In the same years, I was a consultant for numerous international companies and institutions (Azimut, Shell, Lastminute.com). I collaborated with the World Bank to implement the EFC framework in the Policy field. From 2019 to 2022, I was employed at the Joint Research Center of the European Commission in Seville, promoting the use of EFC among the Commission’s economic analysis tools.
