CREF promotes original and high-impact lines of research, based on physical methods, but with a strong interdisciplinary character and in relation to the main problems of the modern knowledge society.
The CREF was born with a dual soul: a research centre and a historical museum. Its aim is to preserve and disseminate the memory of Enrico Fermi and to promote the dissemination and communication of scientific culture.
Higher education and projects for young researchers
I am a researcher at the Enrico Fermi Research Center and an Associate Researcher at SOAS-University of London, where she works on economic complexity. I am a research fellow at the Institute of Economics of the Scuola Superiore S. Anna and the Institute of Complex Systems-CNR, and a consultant at the European Commission, the World Bank and the ILO. My interdisciplinary research investigates labor markets, technological innovation, economic inequalities, sustainable transition and the anatomy of the Italian production system. Empirical and data-driven, I aim to build a bridge between Economic Complexity and more traditional approaches to economics.
I participated in several international projects and currently coordinate the PRIN-PNRR project “Triple T – Tackling a just Twin Transition: a complexity approach to the geography of capabilities, labor markets and inequalities” (CUP F53D2301080000). I am part of the CREF research unit of the PRIN 2022 project “WECARE” (CUP 20223W2JKJ) and by the tenders of the Joint Research Center of the European Commission “ECOMAXP” and “COMPL-AUTO”. I am a reviewer for several international journals on the economics and physics of complex systems; within CREF, I am part of the working group for implementing the GEP and of the Commission for Open Science.
